Use what you know best. You will have an EASIER time with NT and IIS (in my
opinion)
If you know Unix and Apache, and you were setting up a large scale Internet,
that may be the way to go. A lot is said about NT as a web server. We use
it, have abaout 200 domains running, CF, iHTML, PERL, ASP, ODBC - ZERO
problems.
I am a Unix guy in the brick and mortar world (even though there's not much
of that left anymore), but chose NT for Web server. More options available
and there's a quicker software development cycle on the NT platform.
Is Unix more stable...more effecient...yes...But at what learning cost?
Products like iHTML and CF are just making ther way into the Unix world.
There are, however, tons of PERL programs available.
Just my 35 cents.
