Apache for NT is not too good yet. They have some multitasking problems.
Recognized by them. On the other hand I would ask first about your DB,
budget and transaction load.
If you have Oracle the answer is Unix, SQL server of course is NT. In Unix
you are going to spend initially more. For instance, you need CF, ODBC from
merant, the OS, Oracle, etc. $$$$ Everything has Unix type prices,
thousands per piece. ODBC is around $4000 per processor plus $4000 per
driver/processor.
Win2K is just install the OS, CF, SQL 2000 and all is well integrated, and
bang! you are there. You can probably setup legally all your stuff in low
budget for less than $5000.00
The problem is, Win2K does not cluster and grow like a Unix. at the end it
will come to that... You have thousands of users? how many transactions
per minute you are hoping for?
