There are a couple ways you could accomplish this. The easiest would be to
use Enterprise MGR to make a backup of the existing DB to tape. The goto the
other server (make sure your SA name and pwd's are the same I have seen some
odd problems if they are not. (btw,Im used to using 6.5 so my instructions
might be a little off. For instance you might not have to recreate the
devices in 7. 7 might restore them for you.) Then you will have to create
your DB's devices the same as they were on the other server(ie size and
names). Then try restoring.
Another way to do this, especially if you are going to want to do some
renaming etc, is to dump the contents of your files into TAB files. Goto the
help and lookup ISQL and BCP. This is normally very clean and doesn't have
any problems unless you have some large 'text' areas.
