In the enterprise manager if you click on the database and click on all
tasks? > then there is a backup function. Use this to backup the database.
Then, on the new machine, perform the same action, but this time restore the
db. I have gone from MSSQL7 to 2000. I don't restore it, I have only ever
backed up. One of my clients hosts at DataReturn. I put the DB on our FTP
site and they download and restore it.
