If the servers are both on the same network (or depending on your security)
you can just import the data from one to the other. You can do this in Ent
Manager. I use it all the time when all I want to do is transfer data from
one machine to another. SQL Server will create all the tables for you. One
of the drawbacks is that this will not transfer User information or any
Maintenance plans or anything like that.

One note on the backup and restore. SQL Server 7 has a little glitch where
you cannot restore a DB on a machine where the system files do not show a
record of the backup. So if you do a backup to tape and try to restore to
the other machine it will not let you because the destination machine shows
no record of the backup. Hope that made sense...

Good luck!
