Brook,
All I can offer is this simple advice:
Don't do an upgrade from NT to 2000. Do a fresh install of 2000 over NT.
Everyone I've talked to (in addition to my own experience) has indicated
that upgrades from NT to 2000 always end up with issues. However, every
clean install of 2000 that I've done has gone off without a hitch. It seems
much more reliable and stable than NT.
>From the CF side of the coin, there's not much to sway you either way on NT
or 2000. Nothing I've heard indicates that CF runs faster on 2000 than on
NT. If it is running faster, it's mostly because 2000 itself is faster than
NT. I don't think CF cares much either way.
Other than that, good luck... whatever you decide. :)

Subject: NT 4.0 to 2000
Hello,
We are considering upgrading from NT4.0 sp6a to 2000 professional. Is this
a good move? I am not overly familiar with 2000 and am a little concerned
about its security. At the same time I have heard that CF 5.0 is
considerably faster on 2000.
Are there any good resources regarding the upgrade? From a CFSERVER
perspective is it warranted. Are most of you already upgraded?
Thanks for the help!
Brook
