And as far as I understand it, CFFTP is for transferring files from 
server to server. This is for downloading large files to a client's machine.

Simply linking the files as ftp:// doesn't work because IE will 
launch the file that is being downloaded, and that's not the intent.

Can't use CFCONTENT. Some of these files are 5gb. That's a long time 
to use up a process just for file transfers.
