A Java *applet* gives me plenty CF does not, mainly a robust, 
client-end applet that can handle the file transfers via ftp. Using 
CFFILE to upload a 2gb is simply not an option. You have no idea 
where you are in the upload, and http can't recover from a transfer 
interruption without help... from Java (or javascript).

I'm not talking about making anything faster, I'm simply talking 
about making things possible.
