Hay, read a book or two... The core of NT isn't DOS!!! It was developed
from the ground up by a guy from DEC. Bill Gates went out and paid for the
best that money could buy, in his opinion, and I think he made a good call
on this one.

All you naysayer's need to look around and find out where this whole
business came from. My first computer system was from Motorola and included
the assembly language code for the operating system. You were welcome to
change the system to fix any bugs you found and Motorola gave little to no
technical support. The documentation was a stack of loose leaf binders that
stood about 3 feet high. The field engineering team they had out there was
less than 1/10 the size needed to support the users.

When I moved from this CPM derivative and went to DOS, it was a much more
stable and powerful operating system.

Has MS made it's share of mistakes, YES. Do they need good strong
competitors to keep them honest and working hard, YES!!!

BUT..., GIVE the Boys some credit... :-)

Isn't NT still at the heart a DOS core?
