Just because I was certified? No. Has it helped? I believe it has. Certification will (or at least should ) never be taken as a substitute for experience. But, it does demonstrate a commitment to something. I do believe that certification has opened doors for me that would not otherwise have been open. For example writing three books. Granted, there are plenty of certified people out there. Certification alone did not open that opportunity.
