CF in Federal Government Let's see. Based on my personal knowledge of different agencies in DC.
HUD - CF 4.5 State Dept - CF 5 possibly on MX at this time. Dept of Education - CF 5 National Institute of Health - CF5 with a possible move to MX National Institute of Standards and Technology - CF 5 with a possible move to MX Going on a search of google: .cfm site:.gov returns 4,280,000 results including PeaceCorp Lots of Senators and Congress peoples NASA FAA US Fish and Wildlife Dept of Health and Human Services Federal Housing Authority FDIC Federal Reserve US Mint National Science Foundation Small Business Association Veterans Administration Bureau of Engraving and Printing US Geological Survey US General Services Administration EPA - Energy Star Program Department of Commerce Voice of America Department of Energy Congressional Budget Office Treasury Department Department of Agriculture (USDA) Department of Transportation Office of Personnel Management National Oceanic and Atmospheric Adminstration. I don't know numbers, nor do I know growing or not, but based on the amount of jobs in the DC area for ColdFusion people, the need here is larger than elsewhere in the country. The amount of job postings for CF development in the DC metro area is far stronger now then the same time last year. All of this is purely anecdotal, but I think it makes a fairly compelling case that the US govt is fairly heavily invested in ColdFusion. -----Original Message----- From: Haggerty, Mike [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, August 28, 2003 3:57 PM To: CF-Talk Subject: RE: DWMX 2004 - Whats new for us? I happen to know of a fully funded agency with 20000+ employees that is moving to exclusive use of CF for its Intranet applications. Would that be evidence? Also, you mentioned you use Eclipse with your CFML development. Do you have CFML code hinting for this product?
