There have always been problems with CFHTTP. I would strongly recommend that
you switch to CFMX, and use something else instead of CFHTTP if you're
having HTTP encoding problems. There are plenty of alternatives that work
very nicely in CFMX, and I think you can easily use the java.net classes
from within CF.
