Not sure about the DBs. The downloads for the Pro version on Macromedia's site don't prompt for anything on download, so I figured they were free. Was also told by a programmer friend that the upgrades from Pro 4.0 to Pro 4.5 were free. We could be wrong :(

There's an issue with that. Turn OFF 'maintain connections' in the DSN properties. Also, it was common in those days to run a script to bounce the CF processes nightly.
