No cfserver.bat file. Not sure what you mean by DSN properties.

There's an issue with that. Turn OFF 'maintain connections' in the DSN properties. Also, it was common in those days to run a script to bounce the CF processes nightly. Look in the bin directory for a .bat file, cfserver.bat IIRC. Free Upgrade? Me thinks u are well past the 2 year subscription for a free upgrade.
