Don't be so quick to assume that we are all asking for free support from
Allaire. My personal difficulty was when I had just purchased a new copy of
Studio to go on my new Win2000 box. I objected a little when I had to repay
for a product I already owned because it didn't work on the latest and
greatest OS, but that's sometimes what you have to do. The problem came when
it would not run, at all... then Allaire wanted money, up front, to tell me
how to fix a brand new program just so it would install and run...
and to top it off, even after I DID pay for an incident of support, they
STILL didn't fix the problem! I had to work it out myself! They did however
have the salesmen call and try and sell me a support package!
