It was in 6 too. =]

We're remaining on 6.x for another couple months, but when we tried out CF7
we saw immediate results in certain aspects of performance and CPU usage
during some *very* heavy loads.

I'm definately looking forward to upgrading and recommend you skip 6.

CF7 also has a nice little utility in CF admin, where you can analyze your
code for errors and deprecated tags/properties.  We are in the process of
upgrading from CF5 to CF7 ourselves.  I used this utility to analyze our
code prior to moving it to our CF7 server.  It worked like a charm.
