Thanks for all the responses. My comments are inline . . . > Create a favorite (bookmark) in the browser of your choice > with this as the "url" > > javascript:resizeTo(800,600); > > Name it 800x600 and it will force the window to that size.
I found this when I Googled and it's the solution that I am using right now. > I have a little tool called Screen Measure that pops up a > real slick ruler on the screen. I'm familiar with this and it has value, but we have standardized on MSIE. > 2. Can you convince your company to move the standard up > from 800x600? No, that's not going to happen. Nice thought, though. > I just set the DW design view to the appropriate browser size. Yep, we use this one. Does it give a true representation of 800 x 600? Stupid question: if I'm at 1280 x 1024 and I set the DW design view to 800 x 600 it still uses the fonts, etc., from 1280 x 1024. If I change monitor resolution to 800 x 600 will the fonts and everything else 'upsize' as shown in the DW 800 x 600 window in 1280 x 1024 (whew)? > The IE developer toolbar will resize IE to most common sizes > with two clicks (or, via a dialog, any size). Thanks, cool app. We're playing with this one.
