I don't see the hype in liquid designs. I mean, yea, they fit across all resolutions, but they have the potential to look really really ugly for high resolution monitors. Having one long line of text across the whole screen is just plain ugly. You just lose control of how the end user is going to see the content, images, etc etc on your site when you code for liquid layouts.
