Take Fusebox 4.1 as an example: the "rules" of fusebox say that queries and display code must be in separate templates (which are then included via its config dialect). This is indeed _more_ flexible than a page with several queries and a bunch of display logic on it, since the query templates and potentially the display templates can then be reused in other places, independant of the relationship between them. Is the XML more flexible than CF configuration? Nope. Although they did provide a method of integrating your own tags into the XML config, which if you use it then makes the XML config _equally_ as flexible as CF configuration. s. isaac dealey 434.293.6201 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:234342 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
