Rick,

Great news on going apache. Why not just throw out that M$ OS entirely and
go Linux? If I am understanding you, you're wanting to run xp pro in
production? Really bad idea if so. XP Pro is not geared for production use
and I can't imagine the security issues you'll have. I hope you have a good
firewall at least?

Phil

Subject: Don't need a Windows Server OS if using Apache?

So, I've decided to use Apache instead of IIS as a web server.

Does this mean that my web server can now serve multiple sites from Win XP
Pro, instead of having to have a server OS, such as Win 2000 Server, Win
2003 Server, or Win Web Server?

I'm talking about a production server.not a development server.

Rick
