(Usually I'm the oblivious one- weren't there three links in the OP? ;)

See: http://www.hxtt.com/access.html. Used to be free, if I recall, now
they're
charging, but it's not too bad, and they have a "demo" that's hobbled.

But I guess that must've been seen already, right, as it's the "only one"?
;-)

Dan is talking about using the jdbc-odbc bridge, which works fine, of
course,
but needs the source server to be running MS and have a ODBC DS configured.

I'm thinking the orig.poster was meaning solely using *nix on both ends-
spend
a little time checking out the topic and you'll see that confusion pop up
quite a
bit: "I don't see a Admin Tools > datasources option in KDE!"

Sorry I missed the class[path|loader] thread D-Man, looks like you could
have used some
help there. People have trouble communicating and frustration mounts, I
guess.

'tis a pitty- I find the topic quite interesting, and hacking cf with java
has been
a ton of fun. I could use a little more knowledge on the whole init /
constructor bit- clear
as the docs are, I haven't quite "gotten" it, and it's hard to "port" java
code to
CF code without a clear understanding there.

That thread could have used a bit more information and a lot less attitude.
*sigh*

Oh well. :-) Guess it's all good. Maybe in the future we can have a
civilized discussion
bout that stuff! Curiosity is way more fun than attitude, IMHO.

Woot! almost friday... =-]
