You see this should be the default setup for coldfusion 8. All type 4 JDBC(
1.2, 2.0, 3.0) drivers and the ODBC server should be removed once and for
all.

The good news is that for 7 is was requested that ODBC server be an option,
so in a way ODBC has been removed from CF already however the drivers still
depend in windows dlls at least the ones I am looking at.

Maybe people should make that an option during setup i.e All type 4 JDBC YES
or NO

I hope the beta people are reading this.

My classpath.cfc acts like a super classloader. I just tested to see if the
class reflects everywhere at the same time and it does. I tested for the
class to show up in far away places like inside a gateway service and the
class does show up throughout coldfusion automatically, just like it would
if you dropped it inside a classpath folder. The gateway which basically is
just a big multi-threaded CFHTTP for investing in NASDAQ stocks shows that
it can be used for practical and common things. So the new CF
classpath.cfchas proven to be persistent and goes deep like the server
scope and it's
simple to use and practical. CFHTTP multi-threading should be in everyones
tool box.
