According to the ccleaner site, this tool only removes third-party stuff,
old registry keys, browser and document history information, etc. If you
install Windows yourself, there should be absolutely nothing for this tool
to do, according to its own documentation.

When you install Windows, you can choose which components and applications
are installed.

Apparently so, according to the ccleaner site. That's why they fixed it.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. If I get up to go drop a log,
and I come back and my laptop is gone, I'm hosed whether or not I'm logged
in as an admin, because MY LAPTOP IS GONE. It doesn't matter whether I was
logged in as an admin or not, really - once you have the computer, you can
make yourself an admin any number of ways.

Of course, being an admin doesn't really matter that much if you have the
machine itself, since you're either interested in the value of the hardware,
in which case the machine gets wiped, or in the data that belongs to users,
which can be accessed with the users' privileges:

If I was logged in as a domain admin, that's a different story, but most
end-users are not logged in as domain admins, so that's not really relevant.
Most domain admins aren't logged in as domain admins.

If you're worried about losing your laptop while you're dropping a log, you
might consider one of the nice, small handtops/UMPCs available.
Unfortunately, they all run Windows. I'm using the Sony Vaio UX, which is
small enough for me to carry around everywhere I go. In fact, I could be
dropping a log RIGHT NOW as I answer your email - and you'd never know. Now
that's productivity!

Most everyone else is not having these problems. Out of the people who've
posted here on cf-talk, more people are not having problems than are having
problems. That's not much of a survey sample, but it indicates that your
problems aren't typical.

So, the crap cleaner which wasn't Vista-compatible didn't work. What exactly
didn't work about IE 7?

I posted the one known issue with Dreamweaver and Vista on the Adobe site.
Dreamweaver 8 is, according to Adobe, not supported for use with Vista but
will work for most Vista users anyway.

You posted ... a story about how you couldn't use "crap cleaner", and how
that was proof positive that Vista is unusable, and how you feel more
comfortable dropping a log with OS X. I'm sure that was helpful to somebody.

I am confident that the gay community would prefer that you remain straight.
I can only hope to convince you not to reproduce. Fortunately for me,
Apple's on the case:
