AIR is a client technology - you build AIR applications with
HTML/JavaScript and/or Flex. AIR applications talk to web sites to get
data, either via remote calls from Flex or via JavaScript calls. I'd
suggest you read the Flex/PHP stuff on the Adobe site (and elsewhere):
