With all the problems ppl are having with hosting companies here I would
venture to say that many would be better off slapping Centos Linux on an
commodity desktop (w/a gaming MB that supports RAID), compiling and
installing ISP Config http://www.ispconfig.org/downloads.htm and Webmin
http://www.webmin.com/. Then get a version of CF or Blue Dragon on Ebay and
collocating it at a local ISP for $50 mo.
OR
Get a budget Dedicated server for $60/mo. I had a "better than most"
experience with these guys. You cant beat the price or the range of options.
Everything from a bare bones Linux box for $60 to a clustered server farm.

Even though I am out of the hosting biz, thank god, I do covet a dedicated
box from time to time.
