To harp on this just a little bit more there are also free administrative tools that you can use to easily manage your PostgreSQL databases.
For those of you who are familiar with MS SQL and "Enterprise Manager", you might be most interested in pgAdmin (www.pgAdmin.org) as it's similar to Enterprise Manager with it's GUI interface. For folks who are used to using phpMyAdmin with a MySQL database, there's phpPgAdmin - which is what I have a tendency to use most (http://phppgadmin.sourceforge.net/). It's nice because it's very light and web-based, so it's accessible from anywhere. Both of these tools are also free and supported on all popular OS's.
