because that XLSX being the latest format, i would want to go that way. I think at this time, pretty much everyone has a MS Office 2k7 installed or at least they got the addons to make office 2k3 to open 2k7 files.
If my memory is right, the file size of XLSX file are lesser by more than 50%, which should help in easier transportation. i wonder what would be the scenario where you would not want a feature of XLSX ?
