The problem here is that many on this list, demonstrate what I'll term "list psychopathy"...
Many of the smartest people on the list don't understand the difference between the need to be correct and the need to empathize, which is a key aspect of psychopathy. Sometimes people just need to vent and not be corrected, and to have someone not necessarily say, "I agree", but "I understand where you're coming from." Agree as much as you can, then let the rest go. It was a hard lesson for me to learn, but people are not programs, who attitudes can be "debugged" by making the correct key strokes, or in this case, even perfectly correct sociopathic arguments. Which is a shame, as by taking that tack, and not actually responding to Dave's points, you reinforce the troll image. -----Original Message----- From: Irvin Gomez [mailto:ir...@pixel69.com] Sent: 11 November 2011 06:04 To: cf-talk Subject: Re: Adobe drops Flsh for mobile devices > > I would never call you a trool. New blood carries the torch and keeps things moving. The 'old-timers' are too busy discussing OOP concepts -which is their right. The problem is that the lack on new blood will eventually kill CF - and that's the simple point I make. > 2. But only time will tell. Hope you're right, though. I hope Coldfusion remains a valid option for many years to come. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Order the Adobe Coldfusion Anthology now! http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Coldfusion-Anthology/dp/1430272155/?tag=houseoffusion Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/message.cfm/messageid:348648 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/cf-talk/unsubscribe.cfm
