I think Gel is right. They do not have the support of Allaire/Macromedia
which in my mind would be essential for enveloping all of the CF tags and
functionality into their tagservlets.

I think this would be a fun product to develop further especially with the
recent push to J2EE. I am a ColdFusion developer who has recently made the
switch to J2EE/JSP and I think Allaire/Macromedia are doing the same thing
from what I here about CF 6 eventually embracing J2EE. That might be why
there was some "to and fro" between them and the tagservlet folks (they were
beating Allaire to the punch).

Just my 2 sense,

Shane

Yup..I was one of those people that was excited by Tagservlet.
I installed the old Tagfusion demo, and it worked fairly well. However, I
think that it leaves out some functionality and doesn't support all the CF
tags fully, at least not as of last Demo.

I also think there was some to and fro between they and Allaire?

BUT WAIT... Maybe we won't have to change our plans and investments just
yet... A while ago, on this list, someone posted about a product called
TagFusion, which has since had to change it's name to TagServlet
(www.tagservlet.com), this could be an option for us. I have not tried the
product out, but will look further into this.
