You can reference the parent window with "opener"

opener.document.formname.fieldname.value="whatever";
window.close();

Subject: Target back to parent.

If I use JavaScript to spawn a new window how can I have that spawned
window's form post back to the parent page, and then close the spawned
window.

Thanks,

Neil
