Working with VSS in DWMX is frustrating isn't it? My suggestion is to let
VSS put the file back to you development server. You can do this by creating
what VSS calls Shadow folders (it's in the VSS help files). This will copy
the code to other folders when files are checked in. We've found this the
easiest way to handle situations like this.

Interesting thing is, on that same Remote info panel when you've selected
SourceSafe in the Access area there's a checkbox to "upload files to server
on save". Doesn't indicate if it means to the "Testing Server" or where.
I've nothing intelligent to offer here since I've only toyed with it for a
moment but there looks to be a way to make it happen.

Bruce, any solutions you find and can share would sure be appreciated. I'm
headed down that same path shortly.

I'm not super familiar with VSS, but I know DW a bit.

I'm guessing because you set up the site definition in DW with VSS as the
remote server, you're going to have to adjust your site definition if you
want your production server to be where the files are uploaded (remote),
instead of to the VSS database.

For the most qualified help with DWMX, visit the DW forum:

I hope this helps!
