Then I suggest contacting Adobe, I have beta tested many version of CF since 4.0 and I can tell you this that it is clear that the installer will not work under Vista, now the best bet would be to try to unpack it manually and get it going, but then you have the problem of the connectors not working under Vista.
History has shown that unless a manufacturer releases an update nearly everything is broken as far as software goes for Vista and until it is a release candidate then really you shouldn't even be trying something like this.
