for my money, the best way of searching for something is using Google in Firefox where I can centre click a result I'm interested in as a new (behind) tab (if it's rubbish, discard it). the simple search box, the box above the results for easy refinement or adding of keywords, the ranking order of results, etc.
so I'm looking for inspiration on search screens with a strong focus on usability. I've come across some woeful search/results screens (even built some meself - not a proud moment) so I know good ones can be a bit of a black art.
