Dale,

That is exactly what we did for our client, I haven't carpoint as yet. But
we did a simple comparasion filter on that as well. For example the user
could add a rule, whether it was equal grater less than etc.

Certainly not as complex as maybe what Barry was looking for:-)

Have a look at carpoint,

I really like their filters on the left, you just start clicking, then that
category is selected and you can remove your selection if you like, I find
it much better than just doing a search because I can say

Vic, Melbourne, $40k-$50k, 0-50,000k etc etc

Then keep going as far as you like, so you might be looking for a Holden but
rather than searching for a Holden you put in your criteria and find you can
afford a BMW.

Barry,

Not a problem.... And you are right about sparking ideas, one of the reasons
I find it difficult to sleep.... Wish there was a switch off button :-)

Andrew Scott

yep, that's certainly worth considering. The layout doesn't have to be
top-bottom like Google

there's a lot of great ideas out there. Not all are immediately usable
for the exact problem at hand, but sometimes an idea behind it sparks
a potential solution.

Many thanks Andrew, it's appreciated
