Yeah I agree Kai, Many moons ago Adobe and a company called Firmware here used to promote it a lot, I used to get a demo pack hit my desk quarterly followed by a sales call.
One day I tried it, went along to a sales pitch and demo and took along the CEO, which included Spectra at that time and decided we liked what we saw. So I can appreciate the allure of a good sales pitch, the fact that Adobe don't do this type of thing in ANZ and haven't done for a while, ends up with people moving and few new customers signing up. With that said, whenever I advertise a position I get a good range of applicants, so I don't subscribe to the theory that people have moved because they cant find people. Lobbying from MSFT is extremely good down here and strategic lobbying from Adobe for ColdFusion unfortunately doesn't happen in AU/NZ. 2. It _might_ be that is has nothing to do with each other. Maybe they want to strategically move towards MSFT infrastructure and run a huge $harepoint or whatever infrastructure where CF doesn't make that much sense anymore.
