We've actually had a fairly lengthy set of discussions on this -- and ongoing within the farcry-dev mailing list -- we're adding localisation and multi-lingual capabilities to the system slowly.

The upshot is... you should be able to do this via any number of approaches in CFMX. I'd recommend reading Paul Hastings blog -- he's a fellow Team Macromedian who does a lot of multi-lingual work particularly Thai/English.

His website is dedicated to gloabalising CFMX apps:

PS. of course he's syndicated at http://www.fullasagoog.com/ !!

Does anyone have any pointers on where to start with making a site support
multiple languages.
I need to convert my cart to support other languages, does CF have any built
in support. The translation is not the problem, just deciding which language
to display,

I am trying to avoid developing a different site for each language. Any help
would be appreciated.
Thank you..
