I don't understand what you mean by "mixing XML into it". That is, what "XML" would you "mix" into the email? How would the client edit the XML you send them? Regarding creating a HTML form.... But - if you rely on the client to just email you back and you are trying to parse off what they have sent you - how can you be sure you can even read it or they will fill in mandatory information, etc. etc. etc. I would have said that data validation and error checking would be even more of a problem if you get them to reply to the email. I realise you may have other contraints, but even a form using <CFFORM> (*gag*) would be better than trying to parse returned emails (or worse - rely on human fingers to type right and human eyes to read right).
