Hey Mark, Its good to know your managers have a better technical understanding about CFMX issues than you do, so why have they hired you :-) Same thing happened here, but we won finally. Even though alot of the behind the scenes stuff has been totally redone, it really is just a service pack release (even though you get some nice extra features such as super.init() in components !!).
One thing you need to be aware of with CFMX 6.1, the 3.2 Data Direct JDBC drivers have a bug in them. I've been in contact with the guys from macromedia, and they are working to get this sorted out. [Macromedia][SQLServer JDBC Driver]No more data available to read. http://webforums.macromedia.com/coldfusion/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=684306&highlight_key=y&keyword1=data%20available%20to%20read Knowing you are an oracle user too, I thought I'd highlight this for you. We are experiencing this with Oracle 8.1.7 on an intermitted basis, and can be fixed by downgrading to the 3.1 driver. http://download.macromedia.com/pub/coldfusion/drivers/3.1/cfmx60_u3_plus.zip Other than that, all is fine and dandy on CFMX6.1 :-) Cheers, Steve -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Stephen Bosworth Application Development and Integration Communication and Information Services The University of Newcastle, Australia Phone: 02 4921 6574 Fax: 02 4921 7087 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MXDU2004 + Macromedia DevCon AsiaPac + Sydney, Australia http://www.mxdu.com/ + 24-25 February, 2004
