Another stupid question: You're sure its 6.1 and not 6.0? There were problems with 6.0 on multi-homed boxes that sound exactly like this, but it was all solved (for Win2K at least) in 6.1. You had to go in and tell the webserver to use the CFMX engine in /CFUSIONMX/ and not /CFUSION/ which is what it would default to. It was always fine for the default website on the server, but every virtual server you set up needed this fix to work.
