you pay 40 bucks a month in ISDN rental / phone rental
if you want to go with Bigpond ISDN dialup service (500mb - 1gig allowance) you can do so, and they will wave all metered data/time fees
If you want to get ISDN but go to another ISP (ie ozemail/ecn/satlink etc) you can do so, but you will get charged the normal time fees / data fees even.
If ya want to get unlimted time/data via telstras end you have to pay an etra 16.50 a month and you get all unlimited telstra fees.
So if you then want to use an unlimted plan on a 3rd party ISP you can but it will cost you:
190 setup
45 line rental 16.50 metered fees remover xx.xx for your ISP account
As far as i now you can connect to full 128k with any isp (provided they can support it) with both your ISDN lines. If an incoming call comes in, one line is dropped down which effectively will slow your speed to 64k until the phone call ends, and then its backup to 128k

Due to my IT blackhole.. (waits for ass jokes to come forward) i am force to the only option of coming close to broadband, ISDN.
Before I spend a fortune on setup costs etc, can anyone here who has ISDN give me any advice on what to get / look out for.
Furthermore, any good ISDN ISP's in Brisbane?
p.s I cant get ADSL/CABLE due to underground cabling and the fact that they have no spare copper lines... bastards..
