customtags can also be access from the same directory as the calling page,
so if the "SelectOffices.cfm" file is in the same directory as he is working
with, then it can be accessed

CF Administrator specifies paths where custom tags are able to be placed. If
a custom tag is not placed in one of the specified paths it will not work.
You need to get your administrator to tell you where to place the tag, put
it there and try again.

SelectOffices.cfm , called as <cf_SelectOffices>
- no probs there, all as per the book.
As I said, probs start with the parameters.

I don't have access, but I'd be amazed if it did.
However, I just tried changing the path/tag name to "FlyingPurplePeople" ,
which I'm sure we don't have as a path,
and it made no difference.
