Remember the A in ADSL stands for asymmetric ie the speed outbound is a lot
slower than the speed inbound.

*************

Yes, I know, and I was expecting someone to comment on this, I used to lease a frame
relay line in Spain 128Kbps IN/OUT, it cost me an arm and a leg, now I have ADSL 512
IN and 256 OUT, the 256 out is still faster than the 128 I had with a synchronous
line, so I don't believe your comment is valid, but everyone has its own standards
etc. and for every project there is another need etc .etc. etc.

> What about bandwidth redundancy

What about it?

> power redundancy [is it on a UPS with a generator as backup?]

Yes its on a UPS, and no its not an a generator, NEVER EVER had a power failure in two
years.

> security both physical and software, is your sever hardened against attacks and does
> it sit behind a firewall?

It sits behind a firewall.

> And is your sever in a temperature controlled room and is it monitored 24 hours a
> day?

There is a air conditioner yup...

> All things to think about when you are looking to host a site.

Certainly, but as I said, it all depends on what you are hosting, if they are personal
sites then its all ok, if they are in between corporate sites and personal sites its
still ok, if it's a corporate site that pays you big bucks to have their website up
online 24 hours a day 365 days a week it is not..
