Scotty, keep this off list so that only members of DevNet can/should comment
on it.

It is not appropriate for CFAUSSIE as not all of us used that particular
license model. (I did but not for a while).

Mark Blair has recently announced he will take questions for all Aussie
DevNet subscribers ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).

I will keep my thoughts on the value of the DevNet disks to myself...

Regards,

PT

Q1. Why the hell is MM loosing the Serial Number DB part. I found that so
useful when installing my MM software at workplaces where I needed them but
didn't want to hassle em for purchasing (figured its mine, so back off)

Q2. Why loose it? I'm no marketing genius but Macromedia really needs to shy
away from loosing these so called "great ideas", as its kind of hard to take
the next one seriously now....

I guess what I am getting at, is why spend so much time ramming Devnet down
our throats and making us feel isolated for not having it to then turn
around and say "yeah we're bored with that idea, heres a new one in its
place".

I'm confused.

Q3. Does it have anything to do with any *cough* upcoming products. *Grin*

{P.S}
For what its worth, I liked it. It reminded of MSDN Subscription system,
where I could login, download software anywhere anytime with appropriate
serial numbers for them.

I thought it was silly to loose that capability, sure change price models
all you like etc... But that was a good feature of Macromedia.com!

/cry
