So if Blackstone throws an error when you try to Duplicate() a CFC, but BlueDragon actually returns a duplicate of the CFC, does that count as a testcase failure against BlueDragon?  ;-)

Interesting--I wonder why they do that? BlueDragon allows you to invoke Duplicate() on a CFC and give you back what you'd expect: an exact duplicate of the original CFC.

Sorry for replying to this 6 days late. I was given permission by Macromedia to let folks know that if you duplicate a CFC in blackstone, you now get an error. Which is better than the old behaviour of creating something that wasn't a real CFC. The same fix was done for WDDX calls on CFCs.

I would assume the only way to pass by value is to use the Duplicate() function.  However, you can't duplicate components directly.  I don't know if Blackstone changes this behavior.

That's interesting. I thought CFMX *only* passes objects (cfc instances) by reference and that it is not possible to do so by value. Am I incorrect in that? And does that change in Blackstone?
