I've been there... I had one woman claim that Java was so much easier to do
things in than CF.

As proof she displayed the code "that you need to write" just to split a
list in CF!  About 40 lines of character-by-character looping to find the
delimiters and extract values.

She wasn't too happy when I wrote "ListToArray()" on the whiteboard.

Of course my triumph was short lived: the company dumped CF in favor of
WebSphere in no small part due to her recommendations.
