CF-Talk is a very busy site. its supposed to be. I don't bother
subscribing to the mailing list, rather I use the web archive and look
at only those items that interest me. It boosts the signal-to-noise
ratio quite a lot.

Now let me guess, you want another CF-Guru type of mailing list - very
limited membership and a moderate level of traffic.
