I receive individual emails for all the lists I subscribe too. Then just have them auto-archive with the appropriate labels in gmail. When I get the free time, which is rare now days, I might read things where the subject catches my eye. I do subscribe to CF-Talk but more or less just archive it and randomly may search my archives for someone or perhaps post to it.
