++ I appsolutely agree with your assessment and would not generally recommend it for C::A usage. As with all good tools, in the right situation, it is an awesome module. As it relies on Log::Dispatch under the hood, it shouldn't be too much trouble to convert my app; just haven't been back on that project in awhile.
