I'm at the stage in my J studies where the natural ranks of verbs are both easier for me to understand, and more helpful to me as contributors to my understanding. For example, when I wrote code that represents playing-cards as a value pair (rank, suit) it extends to the implication that any verb that receives a set of cards (such as a hand, or a deck) is naturally rank-two for that argument.
