It was quite reasonable, probably because I disassembled the dash so he
could pull the speedo in less than a minute.
There were individual costs
* speedo gears
* transmission disassmbly/reassmbly
* fixing the actual speedo
* certification
The whole business cost around $100. Considering the nature of the
work that seemed quite cheap. This was only a year ago. I had my
truck done there too, and the cost was like $50, but I took the whole
thing apart and handed him the speedo in a box. There is no doubt in
my mind it would have been considerably more expensive if he had to do
all the disassmbly and re-assembly of the dashboards.
